How do I add a safeguard?

Describes how to add a new safeguard.

You will need the Write Safeguards permissions to perform this action.

Navigate to the person you would like to add the safeguard for and click on the "Safeguards" tab. Then, click on the "Add Safeguard" button.

A pop up will appear containing the following fields:

  • Type - the type of safeguard. You can add, edit, and delete types using the menu on the right. You must have the Full Write People permission to do this.

  • Status - the current status of the safeguard authorization. You can add, edit, and delete types using the menu on the right. You must have the Full Write People permission to do this.

  • Completed On - the date the authorization was completed (e.g. granted, denied).

  • Expires On - the date the safeguard expires and will need to be renewed.

  • Comments - any comments you would like to include with this safeguard.

Once you are finished, click on "Add" to add the safeguard to the person's profile. You can also check on "Keep open and add another" when entering safeguards.
