How do I manage payment methods?
How do I manage payment methods?

Describes how to manage credit cards and bank account saved on a person's profile.

You will need the Full Read Contributions permission to view payment methods for people other than yourself. You will need the Full Write Contributions permission to edit those payment methods. You can always view and edit your own payment methods.

Navigate to the person's profile and click on the "Giving" tab. Next, click on the "Payment Methods" sub tab. The list of payment methods will be listed. If your payment gateway supports ACH, you will also see bank accounts.

Add a Payment Method

Click on the "Add New" button under the "Credit/Debit Cards" or "Bank Accounts" section. A pop up will appear where you can enter the details of the payment method.

Edit a Payment Method

Click on any existing payment method to expand view details. Then click on "Replace." A pop up will appear where you can update the details. You will need to enter the credit card number or the bank routing/account number again depending on the type.

Delete a Payment Method

Click on any existing payment method to expand view details. Then click on "Delete." You will see a confirmation message. Click on "Yes" to remove the payment method. 

You cannot delete a payment method that is being used for text giving. If the payment method is linked to a recurring schedule, the schedule would also be deleted.
