How can I copy a workflow process task?

Describes how to duplicate a workflow process task.

Updated over a week ago

You will need to be a workflow admin on the workflow itself or have the Full Write Workflows permission to perform this action.

A variety of workflows can be designed that cater to different needs and requirements of the church. These workflows can range from simple to complex, depending on the task at hand. In some cases, it may be more efficient to duplicate an existing workflow process task rather than create a new one from scratch.

This is particularly useful when the duplicated task has similar requirements to the new task, as it saves valuable time that can be used for other ministry activities.

By duplicating a workflow process task, users can easily modify and customize it to suit their specific needs, without having to start from the beginning. This feature is a great time-saver for busy ministry teams who need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Copying A Task

Click on "Automation" from the left-hand navigation menu and select "Workflows." From there, choose the appropriate workflow and select the desired process.

Choose the task you want to copy. You will be able to click on "Copy Task," located next to the task's name.

A pop up will display the name of the task, the workflow and the process it should be added to. You can also choose to navigate to the process once the "Copy Task" is copied.

Once you are pleased with choices, click on the blue "Copy" button; now the task has been copied over to another workflow process.
