You will need the Limited Read Contributions permission to perform this action.
This article describes how to download a giving statement for an individual. To download a statement for a business, read How do I download a business's giving statement? instead.
Generate a giving statement
Open the person's profile and select the Financial tab.
Make sure the Transactions sub-tab is selected. This is the default view.
Click Generate Statement.
The Generate Giving Statement window opens with three tabs — General, Content, and Options. Fill out the tabs you need, then click Generate.
Statement options
General tab:
Transaction Period - the date range of transactions to include. Choose a built-in period, or select Custom to enter a specific start and end date. The default is Current Year.
Formats - the output to produce: Mail / PDF, Email, or CSV. Select one or more.
Church Window and Donor Window - the top and left margins, in inches, for the church and donor address blocks, so they line up with a windowed envelope.
Content tab:
Greeting - the message that appears at the top of the statement.
Footer - the message that appears at the bottom of the statement.
For both of these, edit it to personalize the statement. Check Save as default message to reuse it on statements.
Options tab:
Minimum Amount - include only transactions at or above this amount. Leave it at $0.00 to include everything.
Include individual line items - when on, each transaction is listed in detail; when off, only the total amount given appears. On by default.
Include non-deductible transactions - when on, payments to non-deductible funds are included. Off by default.
Include totals for each designation - when on, a per-designation total is added to the statement.
Include pledge progress - when on, progress toward any pledges is shown.
Always use address on donor's profile (if any) - when on, the address on the donor's profile is used on the statement.
Some statement options are only available with the Full Read Contributions permission.
Grouping
The transactions included in a giving statement are based on the family settings on the person's profile. You can review them on the Financial tab, in the Family Settings panel.
You will need the Limited Write Contributions permission to edit the family settings for a person.
People marked as Combined have their contributions grouped into a single statement. People marked as Individual always receive their own statement. To change these, click the pencil icon (edit) on the Family Settings section. Changes are saved to the entire family.
