How do I enable the eSPACE integration?

Describes what the eSPACE integrations provides and how to enable it.

Updated over a week ago

Our integration with eSPACE allows events created and managed in eSPACE to automatically be imported/synced in One Church in real time. Please note, that an active account with eSPACE is required before enabling this integration.

eSPACE offers software solutions for event management and work order & asset management to improve the efficiency of your building and your team, and consulting services to help bring your vision to life through new facility development, renovations or upgrades. Learn more...

Enabling the integration

You must have both the Integrations and Resource Settings permission to perform this action.

To enable, click on the cog menu in the header area and then on Integrations. On the page that appears, scroll down to the eSPACE area and click on the Enable button.

A pop up will appear asking for the username and password of an eSPACE admin user. The integration uses this user to make requests with the eSPACE system on their behalf.

Important: The user credentials entered must be for an admin user. One should be set up in eSPACE specifically for this integration only. Do not use existing credentials for a staff member at your organization. Create a new admin user just for this.

Once you enter the credentials, click on Authorize. If successful, the integration will be enabled and another pop up will appear where you can set some options (see next section).

Note: if the admin user account entered here is disabled or deleted in the future, the integration will no longer work.

Setting options

Once enabled, a pop up will automatically appear where you can set certain options controlling how the integration behaves. You can access these options at any time by going to the cog menu in the header, clicking on Integrations, and finally on the Options button in the eSPACE section.

The options that can be set are as follows:

  • Default calendar for new public events - when an event is imported into One Church, this would be the calendar it would be added to if the event is PUBLIC in eSPACE (Meaning "Is Public?" is toggled on).

  • Default calendar for new private events - when an event is imported into One Church, this would be the calendar it would be added to if the event is PRIVATE in eSPACE (Meaning "Is Public?" is toggled off)

The calendar chosen here is only used when the event is first imported into One Church. It can be changed if desired afterward.

Next Steps

Now that you've enabled and set up the integration, see this article to learn how events make it into One Church and how everything works overall.
