Song arrangements have the option to create and design custom chord charts. These chord charts automatically appear on every key in the arrangement and are automatically transposed as appropriate.

Creating A Chord Chart

To create a chord chart, go to Service Planning in the left-hand navigation menu, select the Songs tab, choose the desired song, and click on the "Chord Chart" button next to the arrangement's name.

This will open an editor where chords and lyrics can be entered on the left-hand side while viewing a preview of the resulting PDF on the right. The Options button in the upper right will allow you to configure settings such as the font, text size, and chord color.

Formatting Tips

  • If you enter a song section on a line, it becomes bolded.

  • You can optionally include a number after that song section, and it'll still be bolded.

  • You can force a header by surrounding the text with <b></b> tags. For example, if you want a header to be "This is a header," you can type <b>This is a header</b> to make it bolded.

  • Chord charts accept basic HTML tags, such as <b></b> and <i></i>
    โ€‹
    โ€‹

Note

Using the chord chart lets you type in any text and allows for easy transposition from one key to another. In other words, a PDF is a static document that cannot change once uploaded whereas chord charts are more dynamic.
