How do I move transactions between batches?

Describes how to move transactions found within a batch.

Updated over a week ago

You will need the Limited Write Contributions permission to perform this action.

Transactions can be moved from one batch to another, but only if both batches are manual batches (i.e. not auto-generated, which means it was processed online) and are open.

Moving a transaction is not allowed on batches with a status of "Closed."

Moving Transactions from a Batch

Click on Contributions on the left-hand navigation menu and go to Batches. Note the batch you would like to add transactions to and mark down that ID number.

Next, select the transactions you want to move and then go to Bulk Actions > Move.

Note, that you can also do this for a single transaction using the action menu at the end of any row in the table.

In the pop up, you would then enter the number of the batch you want to move the transactions to, and then click on Move to complete the action. Check the "Navigate to batch?" option if you want to open the destination batch after the move. Leave unchecked to stay in the current batch.

Examples of Revised Batches

Note, in the screenshots below, that transactions have been moved from Batch # 3264 to Batch # 3263.
