You will need the Limited Write Groups permission to perform this action.
You can list serving positions that people in your church or organization can sign up for themselves — roles such as a greeter, bus driver, or another team. When a position is listed, it appears on the Join a Team tab in the Serving area in the left-hand navigation menu, where congregants can sign up to join the group as part of that serving opportunity.
Listing a position so people can sign up
Positions are managed on each group. To make a position available for sign-up:
Open the group, then select the Positions tab.
Add a new position, or edit an existing one.
Set the position's Listed option to Yes, then save.
How congregants join a team
Once a position is listed, people can sign up for it themselves:
From the left-hand navigation, open Serving.
Select the Join a Team tab.
Review the available positions. Each one shows the Position, Group, Description, Campus, and Enrollment.
Choose the 3-dots menu.
Click Sign Up.
Approving sign-ups
If the group is set to require approval, people who sign up must be approved by a group admin before they're added to the group and position. To review pending sign-ups, open the group and select the Signups tab. You can also review pending sign-ups across all of your groups from Groups > Signups.
