Groups are a powerful tool for organizing and managing your members. They can be used to create groups for specific ministries, such as Children's Ministry or Guest Services, or for smaller, more targeted groups within those ministries.

Create a group

  • Look for a button labeled "Add New Group" or a similar option.

  • Click on it to initiate the group creation process.

  1. Group Information:

    • Group Name: Enter a descriptive name for your group (e.g., "Children's Ministry," "Guest Services," etc.).

    • Group Type: Select the appropriate group type from the available options (e.g., "Ministry," "Class," "Small Group").

      • These types can be managed by clicking on the cog icon next to the drop-down

    • Group Leader: Assign a leader or co-leaders to the group.

    • Group Description: Provide a brief description of the group's purpose and activities.

  2. Group Settings (Optional):

    • Privacy Settings: Determine who can view and join the group (e.g., public, private, invite-only).

    • Membership Settings: Define the criteria for group membership (e.g., age range, interests).

    • Save the Group.

Add people to a group

  • Individually adding members:

    • Click on the "Members" tab.

    • Select the "+ Add Member" button.

    • Search for the member you want to add and click on their name. You can "Keep Open and Add Another" to add multiple members consecutively.

Create member positions

  • Click on the "Positions" tab.

  • Select the "+ Add Position" button to fill out details of that role, including the name and description.

  • Select the "Assign" button to add people to a position.

Add and manage group files

  • Click on the "Files" tab.

  • Select "+ Upload File" to upload documents, images, or other relevant files for group members to access.
