How do I automatically upload sermons to iTunes or another podcast service?
How do I automatically upload sermons to iTunes or another podcast service?

Describes how to retrieve the audio podcast feed for use with a third-party podcast service such as iTunes.

Updated over 4 months ago

You will need the Sermons Settings permission to perform this action.

One Church Software provides a feed URL for use with third-party podcast services such as iTunes. Whenever you upload audio of a sermon, the podcast feed is automatically updated and therefore will appear on the external service. Refer to their documentation for details on how to connect the two systems.

View the podcast feed

To see your podcast feed, navigate to the sermon listing screen, via the left-hand navigation menu, and click on the arrow next to the "Add New" button at the top. Next, click on "View Podcast Feed."

A new tab will open showing the podcast feed. The URL in the browser is what you would give to the third-party podcast service. The format of the URL is

https://<subdomain>.onechurchsoftware.com/api/podcasts/audio

Adding an image to the podcast feed

You can add an image to your podcast feed. An image is a requirement for putting a podcast on Apple. That can be added by going to "Sermons" in the left-hand navigation menu, clicking on the "Settings" tab, and uploading the image under the Podcast Feed Logo section.

That's it! Your podcast now has an image and is ready for submission, in particular for Apple.
