Reporting

Describes reporting, AI Assistant, scheduler, metrics, and dashboard permissions on a user's access rights.

These permissions make up the Reporting group within a role's permissions, and they control access to the query builders, the AI Assistant, scheduled reports, metrics, and dashboards. To review or edit them, go to Settings & Tools (Cog icon in the tool-bar) > Security > Roles, open a role, and select the Permissions tab. You'll find these options under the Reporting section.

Queries

Reporting

  • Can view and run the People Query Builder, and schedule reports for themselves.

  • Can generate built-in reports.

  • Can perform mail merges.

  • The user also needs the Full Read Contributions permission to reach the Contribution Query Builder.

Read AI Assistant

  • Can open AI reports in the AI Assistant and run them, but cannot start or refine conversations.

  • Also requires the Reporting permission.

Write AI Assistant

Users with this permission also have the Read AI Assistant permission.

  • Can create and refine AI reports with the AI Assistant. These messages count against the church's monthly allowance.

  • Also requires the Reporting permission.

Scheduler

Limited Report Scheduler

  • Can schedule reports with any recipients, not just themselves.

Full Report Scheduler

Users with this permission also have the Limited Report Scheduler permission.

  • Can see scheduled reports created by other users and take ownership of them.

Metrics

Full Read Metrics

  • Can see detailed historical data.

  • Can view report submissions for previous weeks.

  • Can see the metric values listing.

Limited Write Metrics

  • Can submit data for reports that are still open, meaning they have not been finalized yet.

Full Write Metrics

Users with this permission also have the Full Read Metrics and Limited Write Metrics permissions.

  • Can edit all metric data and reports regardless of their status.

  • Can delete submitted reports.

  • Can edit metric values inline from the listing.

Metrics Settings

  • Can add, edit, and delete metrics.

  • Can add, edit, and delete report groups.

Dashboards

Create Dashboards

  • Can create and copy reporting dashboards.

Share Dashboards

  • Can publish and share dashboards with others.

Full Write Dashboards

  • Can edit and delete any dashboard.

Assign To-Do Items

  • Can change the assignee on a to-do item.
