How do I access Communication tools and configuration options (Email, Text, & Push Notifications)?

Describes where Email, Text Messaging, and Push Notification options & configuration tools are located.

There are two places to access communication tools in One Church.

From the Messaging button

Click Messaging in the top header. The dropdown is grouped into two sections.

Send

  • Email: compose and send an email to people or groups.

  • Text message: compose and send a text message.

  • Push notification: send a push notification to mobile app users.

Other

  • Message history: review past messages that have been sent.

  • Scheduled notifications: view and manage messages that are scheduled to send later.

  • Email templates: create and edit reusable email templates.

  • Delivery & opt outs: review delivery results and recipients who have opted out.

From the Settings & Tools gear (top right)


Click the gear icon in the top right (Settings & Tools) to open the Settings page. In the Communication column you'll find log and configuration views for each channel.

  • Emails: view email logs, templates, and unsubscribe lists.

  • Text Messages: view text message logs and opt outs.

  • Push Notifications: view messages sent to users of the mobile app.

Tip: use the Messaging dropdown when you want to send something or look at recent messaging activity. Use the Settings & Tools gear when you want to manage the underlying channel configuration (logs, templates, unsubscribe lists, opt outs).
