QR codes can be created for forms, sermons, events, groups, and giving portals (anything that has a publicly accessible page). There are three places to generate them in V7.
The record must be set to Public visibility for the Share box (and its QR code icon) to appear. Records set to Private do not show a Share box, since they aren't publicly accessible.
From a record's Share box
Open the form, sermon, event, or group you want to share. In the right-hand Share panel, click the QR code icon (the rightmost icon in the row of share buttons, alongside the link, email, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and X icons).
The QR Code Generator dialog opens with the public URL pre-filled. From there you can adjust Fill Color, Back Color, Corners, and add an Optional Label below the code, then click Download (or right-click the rendered image and choose Copy image).
For a Giving Portal
Each giving portal has its own QR code shortcut on the listing. Go to Contributions > Settings > Giving Portals, find the portal in the table, and click the small QR code icon next to the portal's Enabled or Default badges. The same QR Code Generator dialog opens with the giving portal URL pre-filled.
Standalone QR generator (any URL)
A standalone version of the generator is available for any URL. This is useful when you want a QR code for a page that doesn't have its own Share button, or for an external URL. Click the gear icon in the top header, then choose QR Code Generator from the Tools/Utilities column.
Paste the URL into the Destination field, customize the design and optional label as needed, and download the resulting QR code image.
