In Version 7
A batch is a way of grouping together multiple donations (contributions, tithes, donations, offerings, etc.) so they can be recorded, processed, and tracked at the same time. Batches are located in Contributions > Batches in the left-hand menu.
Manual Batches
A manual batch is used to group transactions together based on your desired criteria. For example, you may want to enter your transactions in batches for each service (e.g., “Sunday Offering – Sept 8, 2025”) or payment method (e.g., Cash or Check).
Online Batches
Online batches are created when a transaction is processed electronically through One Church. This could be donations through a giving portal, payments processed through a form, or a payment to an electronic invoice sent from the accounting module.
Online batches are automatically created up to two each day and are grouped by date and by payment method (one for credit cards and one for ACH if supported). The batches are only created if at least one transaction is processed for that payment type. They can be identified by the Online indicator and the name Giving Portal.
In Version 6
A batch is used to group transactions together based on some criteria. It is completely up to you how you want to group them. For example, you may want to enter your transactions in batches for each service or payment method.
Two batches are automatically created for you each day when someone gives online; one for credit cards and one for ACH (if supported). The batches are only created if at least one transaction comes for that type.
