A multi-day event is any event that spans more than a single day on the calendar. There are two ways to set one up in One Church Software: as a single event with a date range — best for conferences, retreats, or festivals where the event is one continuous experience — or as a daily recurring event, which works well when each day stands on its own (for example, a Vacation Bible School week where each day has its own check-in and sign-ups).
Create a single multi-day event with a date range
Use this option when the entire event is one continuous experience, like a three-day conference, a weekend retreat, or a festival.
Click + New in the top toolbar and select Event from the dropdown.
In the Add Event modal, enter the event Name. This field is required.
Set the Date range. Enter the first day of the event in the start field and the last day in the end field. This is what makes the event multi-day.
Decide how the day's hours should work:
Leave All Day checked if the event runs the entire day on each day, as with most conferences and retreats.
Uncheck All Day to set specific start and end Time(s) that apply across the days of the event. Name the time slot in the Optional name field, for example "Main Session."
Choose the Calendar the event should appear on. Main is selected by default.
Adjust the Visibility toggles if needed:
Is Public? - whether the event is visible on the public portal and mobile app.
Listed? - when disabled, the event is hidden from public listings but still reachable by direct link.
Leave the Recurrence dropdown set to Does not repeat. A multi-day event spans days through its date range, not through recurrence.
Open the Details tab to enter the description, address, categories, and campus. Open the Registration tab to collect sign-ups, or the Check-In tab to track attendance. See How do I add an event? for a complete field reference.
Click Save. The event appears on the calendar spanning each day in the range.
Create a recurring daily event
Use this option when each day is a separate event, like a Vacation Bible School week where each day has its own check-in and registration.
Click + New in the top toolbar and select Event from the dropdown.
In the Add Event modal, enter the event Name.
Set the Date to the first day of the series. Leave the start and end dates the same — the recurrence rule handles the rest.
If the event meets at a specific time each day, uncheck All Day and enter the start and end Time(s).
In the Recurrence section, change the dropdown from Does not repeat to Daily.
Click customize next to the Starting date to set how the recurrence ends: never, after a number of occurrences, or on a specific date.
Use Add/Remove Event Days to add an extra day or skip one inside the recurrence — for example, an event that meets Monday through Friday but skips Wednesday.
Complete the remaining event details across the Details, Registration, and Check-In tabs, then click Save.
