This task has fields for Name, Description, and Action Type. There is more than one Action Type to choose from, each with its own possible values. These include:
Add To Group - this will add the person in the workflow to the group you designate automatically.
Drop From Group - this will remove the person in the workflow from the group you designate and give them a date dropped.
Update Person Field - this will allow selection from a dropdown listing all the fields that can be updated, including any custom fields you defined on the person's profile.
When selecting Update Person Field, you will choose the profile field you want to update, and then you will have the option to select from the following for that Profile Field:
Clear Value - this is used when you want the system to clear all values for that person field.
Set - this will update the field to the value you choose but only if that field is empty on the person's profile.
Overwrite - the field is guaranteed to be updated to the value you choose regardless of whether there is a value there currently.
