Why is my eSPACE event failing to sync?

Describes what to do if an event created in eSPACE didn't automatically come over to One Church.

You will need the Full Write Events permission to manually import an event.

Once the eSPACE integration is enabled, events created or updated in eSPACE are normally imported into One Church automatically and in real time.

Occasionally, though, an individual event may not make it across on its own. If that happens, you don't need to wait or recreate the event manually — you can pull it in yourself in just a few steps.

How to manually import a missing event

In the left-hand menu, go to Events > Calendar and click Import from eSPACE.

In the window that appears, search for and locate the event that didn't sync.

Select the event and import it in.

The event will then appear on your calendar just as if it had synced automatically.

If events keep failing to sync

If you find yourself needing to manually import events on a regular basis, it's worth checking the health of the integration itself:

  • Confirm the eSPACE integration is still enabled under the Settings & Tools menu (cog) > Integrations.

  • Confirm your church still has an active Premium subscription with eSPACE, which is required for the integration to run.

  • Confirm the eSPACE admin user tied to the integration's API key hasn't been disabled or deleted — if it has, the integration will stop working entirely until a new key is generated and re-authorized.

Helpful Tip: Keep the eSPACE admin account used for the integration separate from any staff member's personal account, so the sync doesn't break if that person's access changes later.
