How do I include draft entries in a report?

Describes how to include unposted draft register and journal entries in an accounting report.

You will need the Full Read Accounting permission to perform this action.

Draft entries are register and journal entries saved with Save As Draft that haven't been posted yet. Reports leave them out by default. Include them when you want to see how your numbers will look once those entries are posted.

Include draft entries

  1. Go to Accounting > Reports in the left-hand menu, then click the report you want in the Reports widget.

  2. Click additional options below the Date Range to open the Report Options panel.

  3. Under Options, check the Include draft entries? box.

  4. Click Done, then click Refresh.

The report header then shows a DRAFTS INCLUDED label, so anyone reading the report knows the numbers aren't final.

Note: Include draft entries? is unchecked each time you open a report, so check it again whenever you want drafts included. The option is available on every report in the Reports widget.
