The Abbreviation, formally known as Designation Code, is a required field when editing or setting up a designation; it is an abbreviation you create that will help identify the designation quickly within the system.
You can update the Designation code under Contributions > Settings > locate the designation you want to change and select the horizontal dots, and then "Edit".
The "Edit Designation" pop-up will appear. Locate the Abbreviation section and then edit the text, and then select save.
