You will need the Full Write Accounting permission to perform this action.
Sometimes a completed bank reconciliation needs to be reopened, such as if a transaction was cleared in error or an amount needs to be corrected after the reconciliation was already finished.
Reopening a Reconciliation
Go to the Bank Reconciliation entries for the account. Navigate to Accounting > Banking, click the Reconciliations tab, and open the completed reconciliation you want to undo.
Click Actions and choose Reopen from the dropdown in the upper right of the reconciliation screen.
A confirmation window opens warning that all reconciliations for that account completed after this one will be marked as invalid and will need to be redone. Type REOPEN into the input box to confirm.
Click Confirm to finish reopening the reconciliation.
Tip: Reopening a reconciliation does not delete any transactions. It only removes the reconciled status so entries can be adjusted, then reconciled again.
